Last week while in the library studying for finals, I was sitting at a table next to a group of people talking about the post election. A group of people who supported TRUMP. For the first time I heard people, educated college students say Trump would make America “great again”. One young lady who is on the lighter side of the skin spectrum said, “You think President Trump can do something about all the blacks at our school”? She said this. In the library. White college girl who obviously voted for Trump I couldn’t expect anything less; I just couldn’t believe she said it in such a public place. I thought about saying something but decided that it wasn’t my place to be rude and intrude on their conversation.
But honestly, pardon my French but I’m so fucking sick of being polite. Obviously, we don’t live in a country where being polite is a thing anymore; no, we live in a country where men can talk about grabbing women by the pussy and be elected President. I don’t want to try to see it from your side, nor do I care about your side.
And since I’m no longer being polite, let me make it clear that I don’t give damn about your Christianity excuse. I’m so sick of hearing about your morals and how they’re getting offended; suck it the fuck up. Why should I give a crap about offending your morals when you have no problem offending mine, you may not have a problem with racism, homophobia, and misogyny; but as a Christian woman who is Black and Hispanic and who loves her gay friends, I do.
He’s going to fix America, impossible. They supported a man who proudly disrespects women, he sexually harasses
and assaults women, this man thinks because he has money he can do whatever he wants to women and people generally. Supporting Trump means you support his actions and you encourage those actions. You’re sick and disturbed if you don’t think this man isn’t unfit to run this country and utterly disgusting as a human being. HE WAS CHARGED WITH RAPING A 13YR GIRL! Are we just supposed to forget that? Then people wonder why girls who are sexually assaulted don’t come forward, because no one believes them and the piece of shit that attacked them gets elected to run the country.
This was so much bigger than people not voting because they didn’t like their choices or they didn’t agree with Hillary Clintons politics (of her personal life because let’s get real). This was about a deeper wedge being put between the people in America. Don’t get me wrong, I knew that there were still racism and discrimination in America; but throughout this election there has been an eye opening about injustices that I couldn’t have ever imagined.
Let me make this clear. If you voted for Trump, yes, you’re racist, you are supportive of homophobia, and I do think you’re a misogynist. Awe… you don’t like being put in these groups? When you’ve supported the man, who supports these groups and is endorsed by the KKK, and you don’t seem to have a problem with it; you put yourself in the groups.
And I am so over hearing this shit about how we need to let it go, accept the fact that Trump won. NO. I have to deal with this man for 4 years. The people who he has disrespected, and I predict will neglect, have to ban together to stay strong. If I have to hear one more person in their 30’s and 40’s try to minimize my anger with the words “ just accept it” I might just lose it. Racism is not something you accept, homophobia is not something you accept, misogyny isn’t something to be accepted. I don’t give a fuck who’s sick of hearing liberals’ or millennials complain about it, something must change.
I was trying to be polite, but now who the fuck cares. Because we live in Grab Her By the Pussy America now.
